Cnergyico's Oil Refining Business (ORB) is keenly invested in setting up oil refineries in order to meet the energy demand in Pakistan. In line with the objective, the business under Cnergyico set up an oil refinery – ORC-I in 2004 – which is located 50 kms. from Karachi towards Hub on the Balochistan coastal area of Khalifa Point.

National Refinery Limited ( NRL ) was incorporated on August 19, 1963 as a public limited company. Government of Pakistan took over the management of NRL under the Economic Reforms Order, 1972 under the Ministry of Production, which was exercising control through its shareholding in State Petroleum Refining and Petrochemical Corporation (PERAC).

NRL's gross storage capacity, both at the Refinery site in Korangi and at Keamari harbor, comprises about 167,000 tons (20 days) for crude and 118,000 tons for Fuel Petroleum products. The petroleum products are pumped from NRL storage tanks to Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) Terminals or to Karachi airport by pipelines.
