Comment by Thottbot the first character i ran this quest on, i got the emerald in about 5 or 10 minutes. this time around, i've spent about an hour killing people around the mine and have yet to get the emerald to drop. seems like the drop rate fluctuates here... some people get it almost instantaneously, some people have to work their asses off.
